You can approve or reject treatment plan approval requests, which are submitted by students, from any workstation. If you approval a request, the approval request's treatment plan case(s) update to the Pending Patient Consent status. If you reject a request, the treatment plan case(s) update to Draft.
Note: You can manage treatment plan approvals according to your security rights.
Important: You can also address approval requests from the Pending Approvals page.
To approve or rejecting a treatment plan
How to get there

Use the Patient Search field to access a patient's record.
Notes:

If the last patient record you accessed since you last logged on is the correct patient's record, you do not need to re-enter the patient's name in the Patient Search field.

You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients toggle switch to On.
Important: If the Access Confidential Patient window displays after selecting the patient from the search results, it means the patient is a confidential patient and you don't have the security rights to access their record. To continue, a user with the security rights must enter their credentials into the window. Once given access, you have access to the patient's information until your session expires.

Complete one of the following:

From the Patient Information ribbon, clicktap the Tx Planner link.

From the Patient menu, under Clinical, clicktap Treatment Planner.

From the Patient menu, under General, clicktap Overview.
The patient's Overview page displays.
ClickTap the Treatment Plan widget.
The patient's clinical record displays with the Tx Planner tab selected.

On the Treatment Planner tab of a patient's clinical record, clicktap the Pending Faculty Approval category and review the case(s).

ClickTap Approve Request to display the Approve Treatment Plans window.
Note: The treatment plan cases(s) are grouped according to the set Phase, and are listed in alphabetical order by case name under each Phase. Also, the Attending Provider displays the faculty provider assigned to the treatment plan approval request.

If approving from a student's workstation, enter your credentials in the Username and Password fields.
Note: If you are approving from your workstation, these fields do not display.

Complete one of the following as necessary:

Next to each treatment plan you want to approve, select the check box and clicktap Submit.
All selected treatment plans are approved and move to Pending Patient Consent status.
Any unselected treatment plans are not approved and move back to the Draft status.

If you do not want to approve any of the listed treatment plan(s), clicktap Delete Request.
All listed treatment plans are not approved, and move back to the Draft status.
