Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in early July 2022. The major enhancements in this release are new Incorrect Transactions report, patient consent forms now include names of faculty that approved changes to approved treatment plan cases and the date of the approval, and update to enhance performance experience.

Important: Enhancements from this release will be available on PROD on July 8th, 2022.

New Incorrect Transactions report

We added a (new) Incorrect Transactions report (Home > Reports > (new) Incorrect Transactions) that exports a list of payment transactions that were made at a location different from the procedures.

Important: The filters are all set and disabled by default. You can't modify the filters.

ClickTap the Export button to export the data in an excel file. The exported file has 3 sheets:

• Payment applied to procedures - Displays a list of payments/credit adjustments applied to procedures from different locations.

• Credit applied to charges - Displays a list of payments/credit adjustments applied to charge adjustments from different locations.

• Charges applies to procedures - Displays a list of charge adjustments applied to procedures from different locations.

Users can use the report to reconcile payments collected at the end of each month by correcting the posted transactions in Ascend Academic.

Patient consent forms now include names of faculty that approved changes to approved treatment plan cases and the date of the approval

Whenever a change is made to a procedure of an approved treatment plan case (Patient > Clinical > Treatment Planner) that requires re-approval from faculty and recollection of patient's consent, Ascend Academic creates a new patient consent form for the updated case. Now, the form also includes the full name of the faculty that approved the change and the date it was approved. You can find these information on the (new) Date Updated and the (new) Approved by columns of the Planner Procedures table.

Any changes made by faculty will only display the date the changes were made. Also, if the treatment case if moved back to Draft, all the data in the Date Updated and the Approved by columns are cleared from the form.

Notes:

• These patient consent forms will still display the e-signature of the faculty that initially approved the treatment plan case at the bottom of the form.

• The new columns are also included in the print version of the treatment plan case, which is identical to the patient consent form.

Ascend Academic has been updated to optimize performance experience and to load faster.
