Enhanced Progress Summary for faculty and students
The Progress Summary on the evaluation dashboard (Academic > Student Progress > Student Performance) and the Academic Progress for Students page (Academic > Student Progress) have been enhanced to provide faculty and students with a clearer and more comprehensive view of student engagement and performance. You can now see average grade summaries that include percentage-based grades and visual indicators for each evaluation form, and an overall Average Grade (%) banner.

The key changes include the following:
-
The Pass and Fail columns have been replaced with a (new) Total Attempts column and a (new) Grade Summary column.
The (new) Total Attempts column displays how many times a student has attempted each evaluation form.

If a value of 1 or greater displays, you can click the number to display a window showing all attempts (both pass and fail), with the most recent attempt listed first. This allows faculty to access detailed attempt history and better support students who need additional guidance.

The (new) Grade Summary column displays (new) icons to indicate how the student has performed on each evaluation form. A Pass
icon displays if one or more attempt for that form was a pass and a Fail
icon displays if no attempt for that form was a pass.Evaluation forms that use a demerit grading scheme also display an average percentage grade while evaluation forms that use a pass/fail grading scheme display without a percentage.

Note: For each evaluation form that has the Total Attempts column set to 0, the Grade Summary column displays as N/A.

Tip: You can hover over an icon to view the number of passes and fails.

If necessary, you can click the (new) Info
icon next to the (new) Grade Summary column to view this logic.
-
When printing the Progress Summary, the (new) Total Attempts column and (new) Grade Summary column changes have also been incorporated into the print preview.

The Forms column has been renamed to Form Name.
-
A (new) Average Grade (%) banner has been added to the bottom of the Student Performance tab. This allows faculty to view each student’s Average Grade (%) across all evaluation forms graded using a demerit grading scheme.

The Average Grade (%) is calculated using all demerit-graded evaluation forms. If a student has submitted multiple attempts for the same form, the average score across all attempts is used. It is calculated as the sum of all percentages divided by the total number of attempts.
Note: Pass/fail forms are excluded from the Average Grade (%).
Important: Passing criteria is set from the evaluation form settings.
Example calculations:
Oral Eval - Daily Eval average = (92% + 88% + 98%) ÷ 3 = 93%
Oral Eval - Procedure Questions average = (73% + 87% + 90% + 92%) ÷ 4 = 86%
Extraction - Daily Eval average = (98% + 100% + 100%) ÷ 3 = 99%
Extraction - Procedure Questions average = (91% + 95%) ÷ 2 = 93%
Average Grade (%) = (93% + 86% + 99% + 93%) ÷ 4 = 93%
Ability to export student grades
When reviewing student progress on the evaluation dashboard (Academic > Student Progress > Student Performance), faculty can now use a (new) Export CSV button to export a student’s or group of students’ grades as an Excel .csv file.
Note: The length of time needed to complete an export depends on the number of users in the account and the initial export of grades may take up to 30 seconds as the system fetches data from all users.

As part of this change, the Student List pane has been improved. Faculty can now use a (new) Organize by User Group toggle to view students organized by user group. They can also use a (new) Select All checkbox to quickly select all user groups or students.
Tip: Your selected students and student groups are preserved when changing tabs in the evaluation dashboard and you return to the Student Performance tab.
Note: The Export CSV button is disabled when no students or groups are selected.
