Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in mid-July 2020. The major enhancements in this release include updates to the Progress Summary feature, new Group Events on the Calendar page, improvements to the Electronic Prescription User Interface, improvements to the exported list of faculty evaluations, and a new pending claim data in the Aged Receivables report.
Updates to Progress Summary feature
In release 355-0, the configuration for the Progress Summary feature was made available. Now, you will be able to see the results of this configuration.
To display the progress summary of a specific student, users need navigate to the (new) Progress Summary for Students page by selecting the (new) Student Progress option from the Academic menu.
Depending on your security rights, axiUm Ascend either displays the student or the faculty view of the page:
-
A student view only displays the logged in user's progress summary.

To display in student view, the logged in user must have the Require Evaluation user role permission set.
-
A faculty view allows you to view the progress summary of every single student that has access to the current location by selecting them from the student list on the left.

To display in faculty view, the logged in user must have the Evaluate Other Users user role permission set.
Note: If you have both Require Evaluation and Evaluate Other Users user role permissions set, the page displays in faculty view.
The progress summary displays the following:
-
Category - A requirement's category.
-
Forms - Name of form(s) associated with the requirement.
-
Proc. Counts (Done/Required) - Total count of procedure(s) which were included on a passed Evaluation as specified by the requirement, and required number of passed procedure(s) for that particular requirement.
-
Evaluations - Passed and failed evaluations in their own respective columns. If there are any passed evaluations using the specified form, the
icon displays under Pass. If there are any failed evaluations, the total count of failed evaluations displays under Fail.
For more information on a category's evaluated procedures, you can clicktap the procedure count to open the Proc. Counts window.

The window displays a list of evaluated procedure codes with its description and date and time of the evaluation.
For more information on passed or failed evaluations, you can clicktap the
icon or the failed count to open the Evaluations window.

The window displays a list of passed or failed evaluations with the date and time of the evaluation and a View button. You can clicktap a View button to view that specific evaluation's results.

New Group Events on the Calendar page
Previously, users could only schedule a group event by individually scheduling an event for each participating providers or operatories. Now, you can schedule an event for the group.
When you schedule an event (Schedule > Calendar), select the (new) Group Event check box to schedule it as a group event.

When selected, the following occurs:
-
The Operatory drop-down list switches to an Operatory Group drop-down list. It only allows you to select an existing operatory group.
-
The Provider drop-down list switches to a User Group drop-down list. It only allows you to select an existing user group.
You can only schedule a group event for a specific operatory or user group. You cannot use both drop-down lists.
Once scheduled, the event displays on the Calendar for all the participating providers or operatories.
Notes:
-
When you edit a group event, a warning notification displays on the event information panel to inform you that you are editing a group event. Once edited and saved, the changes are applied to all participating providers or operatories.
-
You cannot change a group event to a single event and vise versa. The Group Event check box is disabled for existing events and cannot be used.
-
You cannot add a provider or an operatory to a group event that is not part of the participating user or operatory group.
Improvements to the Electronic Prescription User Interface
We have made several changes to the Electronic Prescription User Interface (Patient > General > Prescriptions):
-
The Pharmacy Notes field on Step 3 of the prescription writing process now auto-expands as users enter text into the field.
-
When you clicktap the Medication History tab, there may be 10-second delay, as the data is directly generated by Surescripts.
-
The EPCS onboarding workflow has been updated to include more information and instructions, especially for users who couldn't or chose not to use the Experian OTP workflow.
-
As the Denied NewRx to Follow workflow is being deprecated, you can use the (new) Replace workflow instead. When you replace a refill, you may choose to substitute any prescription for the request. That includes any field on the prescription, such as medication, dosage, instructions, and so forth.
-
A pharmacy can now send Follow Up Requests if they haven't received a timely answer from the prescriber. Only the most recent follow up request will be visible from the Electronic Prescription window.
-
When you process a RxCharge request, you can clicktap the (new) View Patient button to view the patient data from the pharmacy.
Improvements to the exported list of faculty evaluations
We have made several changes to the exported list of faculty evaluations (Academic > Faculty Evaluations):
-
Previously, the exported file listed evaluations by evaluation requests. Now, it lists evaluations by tasks.
Example: There is an evaluation request assigned to two faculty providers. Previously, it would have been listed as a single list item. Now, it's listed as two list items, one per assigned faculty.
-
We have added (new) Evaluation Request ID and Task Status columns. The Evaluation Request ID column displays the ID of the faculty provider that requested the evaluation. The Task Status column displays the task's status for the assigned faculty provider. Until the faculty provider completes their copy of the evaluation request, the column displays as New or In Progress. Once completed, it displays as Complete, even if the associated student provider didn't complete their copy of the evaluation request.
-
The Status column has been renamed as an Evaluation Request Status column.
New pending claim data in the Aged Receivables report
The Aged Receivables report (Home > Reports > Aged Receivables Reports) has been updated to now include accounts with pending claims by default. Users can view these data in the (new) Claims Pending column.
If necessary, you can exclude pending claim data from the report by select the (new) Skip accounts with claim pending (CP) check box.

Changes lost when you modify an appointment and navigate to the Pinboard
Issue: When users modify an appointment and clicktap the Pinboard button without saving, axiUm Ascend does not display any warning.
Solution: Fixed so a warning displays when users navigate to the Pinboard without saving.
axiUm Ascend displays previous order of items in a grading scheme
Issue: When users re-order grading items in a grading scheme and save, the grading scheme displays the previous order.

Issues with saving and saved day notes
Issue: When users create a new day note, they may be unable to save it. If saved, the day note icon displays in gray when they navigate to a different date or log out and log back in.
Solution: Fixed so new day notes are saved properly and the icon displays in blue as expected.
Unable to access the Electronic Prescriptions window
Issue: When users attempt to access the Electronic Prescriptions window, an error may display.
Solution: Fixed so users can access it successfully.
Issue printing Patient Clinical reports with a set date range
