1.5.0 Release Notes

Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in late January 2020. The major enhancements in this release include improvements to treatment planner, new ability to display the Unsigned Clinical Notes page, removal of tabs on the Student Evaluations page, and improvement on Transaction Details report.

Improvements to treatment planner

We have made several improvements to treatment planner (Patient > Clinical > Treatment Planner):

• Previously, users could only edit a patient's treatment from their progress notes. Now, you can edit a treatment from their treatment plan.

  To edit, you can clicktap a treatment from a treatment plan and apply the desired changes to the displayed Edit Procedure window.

  

  Note: You cannot edit a treatment from a rejected treatment plan.

• We have added a (new) notification message that displays when you edit a procedure's code, tooth, surfaces, class, and/or amount, and the procedure is associated with a treatment plan that is currently pending for patient consent or is in Accepted status.

  

  If you clicktap the Continue button, the following occurs:

  • If you require approval for treatment plans, the effected treatment plan updates to the Pending Faculty Approval status.

  • If you don't require approval, the effected treatment plan updates to the Pending Patient Consent status.

• When you delete a treatment associated with a treatment plan that has been accepted or is pending for patient consent, a (new) Delete Procedure window displays.

  

  If you clicktap the Delete button, the following occurs:

  • If you require approval for treatment plans, the associated treatment plan updates to the Pending Faculty Approval status, and the treatment plan is added or generated into the approval request.

  • If you don't require approval, the effected treatment plan updates to the Pending Patient Consent status.

New ability to display the Unsigned Clinical Notes page

Previously, faculty users could not access the Unsigned Clinical Notes page by using the Unsigned Clinical Notes widget when there was no unsigned clinical note(s) assigned to the user.

We have removed this restriction so that even if there are no unsigned clinical notes, you can still access the page.

Removal of tabs on the Student Evaluation page

We have removed the Session and the Competency tabs from the Student Evaluations page (Academic > Student Evaluations).

If necessary, you can use the icon to differentiate between sessional and competency evaluation requests.

Improvement on Transaction Details report

The responsiveness and performance of the Transaction Details power report (Home > Reports > Power Reporting) has been improved to handle larger volume of data.

Update on CDT

The Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT) has been updated to the ADA's CDT codes for 2020 appropriately.

Issue onboarding providers onto the ERX system.

Issue: When users onboard providers onto the ERX system, an issue occurs.

Solution: Fixed so the issue no long occurs.

Difficulty using the Patient Search bar when Ascend is loading

Issue: When users use the Patient Search bar while Asend is loading, the results are inconsistent.

Solution: Fixed so the Patient Overview page displays properly after Ascend finishes loading.

Issue saving appointments linked to clinical notes

Issue: When users add an attending provider to an appointment, and the appointment is already linked to a clinical note with a set attending provider, the appointment does not save properly.

Solution: Fixed so the appointment saves properly.

Signed clinical notes does not display properly

Issue: When users display a clinical note they've signed and select an additional provider, the Additional Provider field may overlap with the Sign as text.

Solution: Fixed so the fields display properly.
