Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in early December 2019. The major enhancements in this release include improvements to treatment planner, clinical note windows that adjust its size accordingly, and new icons for the Comment Assistant on evaluation forms.
Improvements to treatment planner
We have made several improvements to treatment planner (Patient > Clinical > Treatment Planner):
-
Users can now delete treatment plan cases that has some form of electronic consent. You can delete it to correct an error, such as an incorrectly captured e-signature or a treatment plan case that was assigned to a wrong patient.
Notes:
-
When you delete a treatment plan case, you also delete its captured consents.
-
You can only delete consented treatment plan cases if you have the (new) Delete Consented Treatment Plan case user role permission set.
When you clicktap the X icon of a treatment plan case listed under a category and enter the reason behind the deletion in the (new) Reason field.

Note: The field is limited to 200 characters.
When ready, you can clicktap the following buttons:
-
Delete Case and Procedures - Deletes the treatment plan case and its associated procedure(s).
-
Delete Case, Move Procedures to Unassigned - Deletes the treatment plan case and moves its associated procedure(s) to Unassigned.
If it was deleted successfully, the window closes and the deletion is recorded on the Audit Log page.
Notes:
-
On the Audit Log page, deletions are recorded as deletes, and the entered reasons display in the Details column.
-
If you attempt to delete a procedure on the progress notes or treatment planner, and it is associated with a consented treatment plan that only has one procedure, an error occurs. As a treatment plan case cannot exist without a procedure, a (new) error message displays, recommending you to delete the treatment plan instead.
-
If you attempt to move a procedure on a treatment planner to Unassigned, and it is associated with a consented treatment plan case, an error occurs. A (new) error message displays, recommending you to delete the treatment plan case instead.
-
-
When you view a patient consent form or Preview > Print a treatment plan that was accepted or rejected by a patient, the document now displays the (new) Presented by field instead of the Provider / Staff Signature field. The new field displays the full name of the provider that presented the treatment plan to the patient and the date of the presentation.

If the treatment plan was accepted or rejected without the patient's e-signature, the Provider / Staff Signature field displays instead.
-
We have replaced the Faculty Signature section on the Consent Form window with a (new) Presented By section. It displays the full name of the provider that is presenting the treatment plan and is obtaining the patient's e-signature.

Clinical note windows adjust its size accordingly
The Add Clinical Note and the Edit Clinical Note windows have been improved to be more responsive and adjust its size based on the device's screen resolution.
