Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in early November 2019. The major enhancements in this release include improvements to treatment plans, updates to security rights, and improvements to evaluation requests.
Improvements to treatment plans
Several changes have been made to treatment plans (Patient > Clinical > Treatment Planner):
-
On a treatment plan case, we have added a (new) History link.

Users can clicktap the link to open a (new) window that displays a list of amendments and patient consent forms associated with the treatment plan case.

Note: The Patient Consent Form link only displays for treatment plan cases that were accepted or rejected with the patient's e-signature.
You can clicktap the link to open the patient consent form, which displays information such as the procedure(s) associated with the consent form, the total cost of the treatment, and the patient's e-signature.
-
When users Preview > Print an accepted or rejected treatment plan, the displayed treatment plan now includes the patient's e-signature.
Note: As Preview > Print only displays the latest version of the treatment plan, it displays the following:
-
If an accepted or rejected treatment plan has been accepted and/or rejected multiple times, it only displays the patient's latest e-signature.
-
If a treatment plan was accepted or rejected but is no longer in the Accept or Reject status, the patient's e-signature does not display.
-
If a treatment plan was accepted or rejected without the patient's signature, their signature does not display.
-
If a treatment plan was accepted or rejected by the patient on paper, their signature does not display on the e-document.
-
Updates to security rights
Previously, any procedures or transactions on the Ledger page (Patient > Financial > Ledger) older than the specified date in Transaction Locking field (Settings > Production > Ledger Options) could not be edited unless users had the Manage ledger options user role permission set. Now, the functionality is no longer tied to the user role permission.
To override the transaction lock, you now need the (new) Override Locked Transaction user role permission set.
Important: Users that currently have the Manage ledger options user role permission set will automatically update to have the Override Locked Transaction user role permission set. If necessary, manually disable the user role permission.
Improvements to evaluation requests
We have made several improvements to evaluation requests:
-
The
icon > Cancel option has been renamed to Delete. -
Users can now delete new evaluation requests by clickingtapping the (new)
icon > Delete.
-
The button labels have been improved to display evaluations based on your contribution:
-
Start - Displays when you have not contributed to the evaluation request.
-
Resume - Displays when you have started on the evaluation request but have not completed it.
-
View - Displays when you have completed the evaluation request and you want to see your answers.
-
