A new feature enhancement is included in the product update released in late November 2018. The major enhancement in this release is new billing type functionality for custom pick lists.
New Billing Types functionality added to custom pick lists
When working with custom pick lists (Settings > Custom Pick Lists ), a new Patient section is now available. You can now select the Patient drop-down arrow to work with Billing Types.
Billing types allow you to manage and categorize what you charge and which patients you charge to.

When working with billing types, you can complete any of the following:
-
Add a billing type.
-
Edit a billing type.
-
Set a billing type as the default type.
-
Deactivate a billing type.
-
Drag listed billing types to re-order
Tip: When re-ordering billing types, set the Include Inactive toggle to On to ensure the correct order is saved. If the Include Inactive toggle is set to Off when reordering the list, it can cause ordering issues when reporting on active and inactive billing types.
Additionally, when running a report that uses billing types, the report displays whether they are active or inactive.
Appointment duration cannot be modified to a custom appointment length
Issue: When a user accesses an appointment and modifies the duration to a custom appointment length, the change does not save correctly and defaults to 15 minutes.
Solution: Fixed so that when a user modifies an appointment duration to a custom length, the change saves correctly.
