A new feature is included in the product update released in mid-August 2018. This release includes a feature called Location Access Restriction, that allows the practice owner to define which user roles only have access to axiUm Ascend when they are in the office.
Location Access Restriction functionality
Your organization now has the ability to restrict access to axiUm Ascend depending on location. If this feature is turned on, users are only allowed to log into axiUm Ascend when they access it from the correct IP address. If users attempt to log in from an address different from any on the allowed list, they are denied access and see a warning message that asks them to contact their administrator.
Note: To use this feature, we recommend you request a static (unchanging) IP address from your Internet provider. If you’re not sure who your internet service provider is, start by visiting Who is My ISP? online.

The feature must be implemented by an administrator. If available for your role, you can access it from the Settings > Location > Location Information page.
You can give specific user roles a security access right that allows them to bypass the Location Access Restrictions.
This may be necessary for variety of reasons including: performing administrative functions, resolving lockout situations if an Internet gateway’s IP address gets changed by the office’s Internet service provider, or allowing team members like providers to review and sign clinical notes, review their next day’s schedule, etc., after hours from home or on the road.
