Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in late April 2021. The major enhancements in this release include removal of self-evaluations from final grade average.
Removal of self-evaluations from final grade average
axiUm Ascend has been updated to no longer include student provider's self-evaluation in their final grade average for evaluations with a demerit grading scheme. The system will now only calculate submitted faculty evaluations for their final grade score.
Unable to navigate and address multiple evaluation requests through notification messages
Issue: When a faculty provider has multiple Evaluation Reminder notifications, select a notification to open an evaluation request, and then select a different notification to open a different evaluation request while the previous evaluation request is still open, axiUm Ascend doesn't display the selected evaluation request. Instead, the evaluation request that was already open remains open, and the URL of their workstation is set to the selected evaluation request that didn't open.
Solution: Fixed so the selected evaluation request displays as expected.
Incorrect display of the Lab Cases page for users without access to confidential patients' information
Issue: When users without permission to view confidential patients attempt to receive a confidential patient's outstanding lab case, navigates away from the Lab Cases page, and then navigates back to the page, the outstanding lab case may display under the Received tab.
Solution: Fixed so lab cases display under the Outstanding tab as expected.
Incorrect display of confidential patients' insurance information on appointments
Issue: When users without permission to view confidential patients receive access and attempt to verify insurance eligibility on a confidential patient's appointment, the appointment remains unchanged. If they refresh the page, the appointment displays in the Ineligible or Eligible tab as expected.
Solution: Fixed so the appointment displays in the correct tab as expected.
axiUm Ascend may slow down when large recurring group events are created
Issue: When users create a recurring group event that will generate more than 10,000 events in the future for a large group, due to the large data, axiUm Ascend slows down for all logged in users. Also, the server may become unresponsive.
Solution: Fixed to enhance speed and efficiency.
Unable to quickly generate the Notifications page
Issue: When users attempt to display the Notifications page for the first time after they login, axiUm Ascend may take longer than users to load the page properly. Afterwards, the page displays quickly without any issue during their session.
Solution: Fixed so the page loads quickly on the first attempt as expected.
Patient's primary providers not automatically set on their clinical notes
Issue: When users create a clinical note and they're not a provider, the patient's primary provider isn't set as the provider on the clinical note. Instead, the provider field automatically sets the first provider on the field's drop-down list.
Solution: Fixed so it sets the patient's primary provider as expected.
Error messages display when users change their evaluation view settings
Issue: When users that don't have the Bypass Location Access Restriction user role permission set is logged into a location that has an IP restriction, an error occurs if they change their evaluation view settings to an operatory group or user group.
Solution: Fixed so users can access the page and widget without error.
