Several new feature enhancements are included in the product update released in late February 2021. The major enhancements in this release includes improvements to treatment planner and visual change on previously submitted evaluations from a multi-visit evaluation request.
Improvements to Treatment Planner
Several changes have been made to treatment planner (Patient > Clinical > Treatment Planner):
-
Previously, users could only request approval for procedures and approve procedure approval requests from the Progress Notes tab of a patient's clinical record (Patient > Clinical > Progress Notes) and/or the Patient Routing panel.
Now, you can request approval or approve a request from the treatment planner. You can initiate either workflow from the Unassigned and Accepted statuses by using the appropriate buttons.

Note: The Request Procedure Approval only displays for student providers, and the Approve Procedure Request button displays for all user role. Once a student provider submits an approval request, the Approve Procedure Request button displays until their submitted request is approved or rejected.
Important: When you request an approval from a treatment plan, the Submit Request for Approval window only displays a list of procedure(s) on the selected case that have you set as the provider. When you request an approval from the Unassigned status, the window displays a list of procedure(s) from Unassigned that have you set as the provider. However, when you approve an approval request from the treatment plan, the Approve Procedures window displays a complete list of all procedure(s) pending for approval, regardless of the selected case.
-
We have removed the barrier that restricted users from scheduling appointments only from treatment plans that are in Accepted or Pending Patient Consent status. Now, you can schedule an appointment from all treatment plans, regardless of its status.
Visual change on previously submitted evaluations from a multi-visit evaluation request
Previously, when users completed an evaluation from a multi-visit competency evaluation request, the previously submitted answers were visually displayed as editable. If the users attempted to edit the previously submitted answers, axiUm Ascend displayed an error, as it could not be modified.
To prevent further confusion, the previously submitted answers now display in gray, to visually indicate that they can't be edited.

Re-ordering on list of billing types not applied to Patient Information page
Issue: When users re-order the list of billing types on the Custom Pick Lists page, the changes aren't pushed to other logged in users that are on the Patient Information page > Basic Info tab.
Solution: Fixed so other logged in users can see the new list on all areas of axiUm Ascend.
Incorrect display of information icon on the Deposit Slip report
Issue: When users navigate to the Deposit Slip Filter page, the Location section > Include Summary check box's information icon doesn't display. However, when users clicktap the general location of the icon, the Information tooltip displays.
Solution: Fixed so the information icon displays properly.
Deposit Slip report's preview doesn't display the bottom section
Issue: When users preview a deposit slip report for multiple locations while a patient is selected on axiUm Ascend, the bottom portion of the report may not display properly.
Solution: Fixed so it displays properly.
Incorrect location of a x icon on a new appointment's Appointment Information panel
Issue: When users create an appointment and then clicktap the Schedule link on its Appointment Information panel, the x icon displays incorrectly on the left side of the Search Openings button. It should display on the right side of the Schedule link.
Solution: Fixed so it display as expected.
The message on the Insurance Eligibility page may not display
Issue: When users navigate to the Insurance Eligibility page right after clearing their browser cache, the "No results found. Try changing your view" message may not display.
Solution: Fixed so the message displays as expected.
