Viewing the Insights reports

The Insights report is a collection of reports that are important for monitoring the financial health of your practice.

Note: The Insights report includes standard Ascend Academic reports and power reports, which are available from the Home menu > Reports.

To view the Insights reports

1. From the Home menu, under Reports, clicktap Insights.

   The Insights page displays.

   

   Note: The reports are grouped by various aspects of running a practice (such as production and schedule optimization), so you can easily identify which report to generate based on the necessary type of data.

2. ClickTap a link to view the corresponding report:

   • Recare

     • Recare Management - This report lists the patients with and/or without recare attached and who have and/or do not have scheduled recare appointments.

     • Active Patients in Recare - This report displays the number of seen patients that are actively participating in prophy and perio recare.

       On the widget, this link also displays a bar chart that contains data on active patients in and not in recare within the last 18 months. The dark blue bar represents active patients in recare, and the light blue bar represents patients not in recare. For specific data on the total number and percentage of active patients in and not in recare, hover over the respective color bars.

       

       Note: The bar chart does not include patients assigned to perio.

   • Billing/Collection

     • Aged Receivables - This report displays the aged balances of accounts and the total aging of all receivables as of today or from a specific aging bracket.

     • Applied Collection - This report displays procedure payments within a specific date range.

     • Adjustment Summary - This report displays information regarding adjustments that were made in your practice during the last three months.

   • Production

     • Production by Provider Type - Pie Chart - This pie chart displays each provider type's total production over the last 12 months. The provider types are based on their selected specialties, such as hygienists.

     • Provider Production - This monthly report displays the total amount of adjustments and procedures that are associated with a provider.

     • Production Trends - Chart - This chart displays the net production of each provider types over the last 12 months. The provider types are based on their selected specialties, such as hygienists.

   • Insurance

     • Outstanding Claims - This report displays aged claims.

     • Insurance Utilization - This report displays the production and collections from insurance companies within a specific date range.

   • Schedule Optimization

     • Unscheduled Treatment - Pie Chart - This pie chart displays the scheduled and unscheduled treatment-planned procedures for each provider in percentage.

     • Treatment Tracker - This report displays patients that have scheduled and unscheduled treatment-planned procedures.

     • Daily Huddle Dashboard - New Patients - This dashboard displays a collection of reports that contains daily practice details on your location's new patients and scheduling.

     • Daily Huddle Dashboard - Production, Collections - This dashboard displays a collection of reports that contains daily practice details on your location's production and collections.

   • Patients

     • New Patients by Month - Chart - This chart displays the total number of new patients that had their first visit within the last 12 months.

     • Workflow Compliance - This report displays the appointment tasks that were and were not successfully accomplished during patient visits.

     • Production by Referral Source - This report displays the production amount from the last 12 months as a result of referrals from professionals, marketing, and other non-patient sources.

     • Production by Referring Patient - This report displays the production amount from the last 12 months as a result of patient referrals.

     • Patients & Production by Referral Type - Chart - This chart displays which patients' referral sources generate more new patients and better production.

       On the widget, this link also displays your Patient Count, which displays the total number of new patients you've seen in the last 12 months, and your Production Total, which displays the production total from these new patients.

       

     • Patient Health - This report displays the health statistics of your current location from the last calendar month. To determine the location's oral health, the report focuses on cavities. It displays a table that contains the total number of evaluations and the total number of healthy evaluations.

       On the widget, this link also displays the percentage of healthy patients and the last calendar month the data is from, the total number of healthy evaluations, and the total number of evaluations.
