You can mark a condition in Ascend Academic as treated.
Important: When you treat a condition that is linked to one or more procedures, you will be prompted to mark the linked procedures as complete, and vice versa. However, you will not be prompted if you require approval to post procedures.
Note: Once treated, the condition remains on a patient's clinical record, but the action is not posted to the Ledger.

How to get there

Use the Patient Search field to access a patient's record.
Notes:

If the last patient record you accessed since you last logged on is the correct patient's record, you do not need to re-enter the patient's name in the Patient Search field.

You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients toggle to On.
Important: If the Access Confidential Patient window displays after selecting the patient from the search results, it means the patient is a confidential patient and you don't have the security rights to access their record. To continue, a user with the security rights must enter their credentials into the window. Once given access, you have access to the patient's information until your session expires.

From the Patient menu, under Clinical, clicktap Progress Notes.
The patient's clinical record displays with the Progress Notes tab selected.

ClickTap the thin, vertical bar on the left side of your browser window.
The Patient Routing panel displays.
Note: By default, the Status Tracker tab is selected and the status sections are collapsed. The number of patients within a status displays on the section header.

Complete any of the following:

Treat a condition from the patient's clinical record > Progress Notes tab.

If necessary, filter the patient's clinical record.

Next to a listed condition, clicktap Treat.
The condition is marked as treated, and its status is updated to Treated.
Note: If the condition is linked to a treatment-planned procedure, a Complete Procedures window displays.

If prompted, select the check boxes of any procedures that were completed to treat the condition and clicktap Complete.

Treat a condition linked to a treatment from the patient's clinical record > Progress Notes tab.

Complete a treatment with linked condition(s).
Note: A treatment linked to one or more conditions displays the

Deselect the check boxes of any conditions that have not been treated.

Post a completed procedure with linked condition(s).

Treat a condition from the schedule or Patient Routing panel.

Complete an appointment for a treatment-planned procedure with linked condition(s).

When prompted with the Post Procedures Complete window, clicktap the
icon.

Deselect the check boxes of any conditions that have not been treated.

ClickTap Treat.
Note: If you did not complete the treatment-planned procedure(s) that treated the conditions, you can complete it before you complete the appointment or have another provider complete it at a later time.

Note: You can only perform this method on an appointment with a Checkout or a Complete status.

Note: If you did not complete the treatment-planned procedure(s) that treated the conditions, you can complete it before you complete the appointment or have another provider complete it at a later time.
