You can use the Unconfirmed Appointments List to contact patients or households and remind them of upcoming appointments.
To confirm appointments
How to get there
-
From the Schedule menu, select Unconfirmed Appointments.
The Unconfirmed Appts. page displays.
-
On the Unconfirmed Appts. page, review the list of unconfirmed appointments.
Tips:
-
You can clicktap the time link on any appointment to open that appointment on the schedule.
-
You can clicktap the patient name link on any appointment to open the Overview page for that patient.
-
-
(Optional) Customize your view settings to display a different list of unconfirmed appointments.
-
For appointments under Unconfirmed, contact the patient's primary contact using the listed phone numbers and/or email addresses to receive confirmation.
Important: If you do not have the security rights to view confidential patient information, the page displays contact information for confidential patients as if it is not in Ascend Academic. To view their contact information, you must receive permission from a user that has the security rights to view confidential patient information. You can clicktap the confidential patient's name link and have a user with the security rights to enter their credentials in the generated Access Confidential Patient window.
-
Select the appointment's check box.
-
ClickTap Confirm if you confirmed the appointment or clicktap Left Message if you left a message.
Confirmed appointments move from the Unconfirmed section to the Confirmed section, and their statuses change from Unconfirmed to Confirmed. Appointments that you left messages for stay in the Unconfirmed section, but their statuses change from Unconfirmed to Left Message.
Tip: If necessary, you can move any appointments that were confirmed previously back to the Unconfirmed section. Under Confirmed, select the check boxes that correspond to those appointments and clicktap Unconfirm.
