This topic explains what the data fields on the Academic reports correspond to in Ascend Academic and how the measures are calculated for the Academic reports. Select any of the following reports to expand and hide the report's details:
Analysis Evaluations Report Builder
In this report, faculty evaluator is labeled as Contributor and student is labeled as Evaluatee.
This report has the following data fields:

Contributor Points - The grade on the faculty's evaluation. If may be over 100 if it includes points from patient complexity.

Contributor Comment - The faculty's general comments on their evaluations. The field has a maximum limit of 256 characters.

Status - The faculty evaluators' account status.

Full Name - The full name of the faculty evaluators in Last name, First name format.

Email - Faculty evaluators' e-mail address that's in the system.

Is Provider - Faculty evaluators' provider status. If they're a provider, displays as Yes. If not, displays as No.

Phone1 - Faculty evaluators' Phone 1 number in their user account information.

Phone2 - Faculty evaluators' Phone 2 number in their user account information.

Username - Faculty evaluators' username in the system.

Difficulties - Age Group

Age Group Points - The points of each stage that were used in evaluations. It doesn't display points for any stage(s) that weren't selected during an evaluation.

Age Group - Displays the stage(s) that were used in evaluations. It doesn't display any stage(s) that weren't selected during an evaluation.
Example: If only stage Child was selected during evaluations, only that stage displays.

Total Critical Errors - The total number of errors the student got on critical questions from an evaluation with a demerit grading scheme.

User Group Name - Name of the user group the student evaluators are part of.

Created Date - Calendar date an evaluation form is attached to an evaluation request.
Note: For evaluation requests that were created manually, the creation date of the evaluation request and the date an evaluation form was attached to the request are the same. The only time these 2 dates might be different is when a user selects a form on their sessional evaluation request that was generated automatically by the system.

Evaluation Dates.Evaluation Modified Date

Modified Date - The calendar date when all assigned parties, including the student, completed their copy of the evaluation request.

Canceled - Indicates if it's an evaluation request that was canceled after it was completed. If it's canceled, it displays as True. Otherwise, it displays as False.

Category - The evaluation form's discipline.

Failable - An evaluation form's Failable status. If the form's Failable check box is selected, it displays as True. If the check box isn't selected, it displays as False.

Pass Points - The passing mark of the evaluation with a demerit grading scheme. For evaluations with a Pass/Fail grading scheme, the field displays as 0.

Pass - Indicates whether or not the completed evaluation was passed or failed. If it's passed, it displays as Pass. Otherwise, it displays as Fail.

Procedure Codes - Displays a list of procedure code(s) attached to evaluation requests in a single cell.

Scheme Types - The evaluation form's grading scheme type.

Total Points - The total number of points evaluators can get from the evaluation without patient difficulties. For evaluations with a Pass/Fail grading scheme, the field always display a 100.

Type - Evaluation forms' evaluation type.

Year - Evaluation forms' year.

Name - Name of the evaluation form that was used to create the evaluation request.

Activity Type - Currently, the field only displays as Procedure.

Evaluation Request Procedure Code - Lists procedure codes on evaluation requests as individual cell items.
Tip: You can use this field with the Procedure Count measure field to view the total number of completed procedures based on the procedure code per student.

EvaluationAnswer.Evaluation Answer

Answer Text - Answers on all questions on the evaluation.

Completed - Indicates if the question was answered and submitted by the evaluator. It the question wasn't answered by the evaluator or if it was answered but not submitted, it displays as False. If the question was answered and submitted, it displays as True.

Contributor Type - As the report only displays answers from faculty evaluations, the field only displays Evaluator.

Critical - Indicates if a questions is a regular question or a critical question. If it's a critical question, the field displays as True. Otherwise, it displays as False. This field is meant to be used with the Question Text and/or Answer Text fields.

Demerit Value - The total number of points the student will lose for a question based on the evaluator's answer.

Procedure Code - The procedure code that is associated with a procedure-specific question.

Procedure Specific - Indicates if a question is a procedure-specific question. If a question is procedure-specific, it displays as True. Otherwise, it displays as False.

Question Comment - The faculty/student evaluators' comments on specific questions on their evaluation. Only displays the first 255 characters of the comments. For questions that nobody commented on, they'll be included in the report and will display as Not Available. If desired, you can exclude questions that have no comments by filtering it out of the report.

Measures
-
Evaluations Count - The total number of completed and passed evaluations, regardless of it's pass/fail status. It also counts evaluations that were canceled after completion.
Tip: If you pair the measure with a field that displays information on a contributor/evaluatee, such as their full name, the field displays the providers' total number of completed evaluations.

Procedures Count - The total number of procedures from completed and passed evaluations, regardless of it's pass/fail status. It also counts procedures from evaluations that were canceled after completion.
Tip: If you pair the measure with a field that displays information on a contributor/evaluatee, such as their full name, the field displays the total count of procedures from their completed evaluations.
Important: Data from evaluations that were canceled after completion aren't included in the report, as the system erases answers from the evaluations when it gets canceled. However, the report still counts those evaluations, as they were still completed.
Tip: If desired, you can filter out canceled evaluations from the report so it only counts completed evaluations that aren't canceled.
