You can edit clinicians within the DoseSpot Admin Console.
Note: You can edit clinicians according to your DoseSpot role.
To edit a clinician
How to get to there

Open and log in to the DoseSpot Admin Console.
The Clinic Administration page opens.

On the Clinic Administration page, from the Clinic drop-down list, select the clinic with the clinician you want to edit.
Tip: You can enter letters in the field to narrow the list.

Under Clinicians, next to a listed clinician, clicktap Edit to display the Edit Clinician page.
Note: Depending on your Dosespot role, some of the fields and processes may not display.

(Optional) Turn on prescribing for the clinician.
This allows a clinician to add, print, and send non-controlled prescriptions electronically through eRx.

Confirm the following fields are complete:

First / Last Name
-
DOB
-
NPI #
-
Line 1 / City / State / Zip

Work / Fax

Under Clinician Roles, select the Prescribing check box.

ClickTap the Save button.

(Optional) Turn off prescribing for clinicians.
Note: If you turn off prescribing for a clinician, this affects all clinics the clinician is in and the clinician cannot send electronic prescriptions from any of the clinics they are part of.
Tip: If you want to prevent a clinician from prescribing in only one clinic, remove the clinician from the clinic to revoke prescribing privileges.

Under Clinician Roles, deselect the Prescribing check box.

ClickTap the Save button.

(Optional) Turn on reporting for clinicians.
This allows a clinician to run reports for their own actions in eRx.
Note: Reporting clinicians cannot view other clinician information. Only EPCS Coordinators with this functionality enabled can run reports for all clinicians within their clinic.
Tip: If you want to prevent a clinician from prescribing in only one clinic, remove the clinician from the clinic to revoke prescribing privileges.

Under Clinician Roles, select the Reporting check box.

ClickTap the Save button.

(Optional) Request to start a clinician on the EPCS process.
This notifies the system admin that the clinician would like to be enabled for EPCS and allows the system admin to initiate the Identity Proofing (IDP) process.

Under eRx Functionality, select the EPCS Requested check box.

ClickTap the Save button.
Note: The IDP and TFA authentication processes must be completed by the clinician in eRx. Once completed, the clinician admin can see in DoseSpot the date and time the processes were completed.

(Optional) Initialize Identity Proofing for clinicians.
As part of EPCS, a clinician must successfully pass Identity Proofing process (IDP) before they may prescribe controlled substances.

Under EPCS Functionality, select the Identity Proofing check box.

ClickTap the Save button.
Note: The TFA activations process must be completed by the clinician. Once completed, the clinician admin can see the date and time IDP was completed.

(Optional) Initialize TFA authentication for clinicians.
Once IPD has been successfully passed, a clinician must be authenticated before they may prescribe controlled substances.

Under TFA Authentication, select the EPCS/TFA Activation check box.

ClickTap the Save button.
Note: EPCS/TFA activation must be completed by the clinician. Once completed, the clinician admin can see the Credential ID.

(Optional) Initialize TFA deactivation for clinicians.
If necessary, you can deactivate a clinician so they can no longer prescribe controlled substances.

Under TFA Authentication, select the Deactivate check box.

ClickTap the Save button.
Note: EPCS/TFA deactivation must be completed by the clinician.
