You can use the Patient Search field to search for and access a patient's record. The Patient Search field displays next to the Patient menu.
To search for a patient

Click Tap the Patient Search field.

Enter part of the first or last name, date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy format), chart number, or phone number (at least the first four digits) to narrow the search results list.
Tip: A New status indicates that the patient is new so their patient record may contain only minimal information. Scheduling an appointment for a new patient creates a patient record with a New status.

(Optional) To include inactive patients in the search results, clicktap the Include inactive patients toggle to set it to On.

(Optional) To include patients from all locations in the search results, clicktap the Include all locations toggle to set it to On.

(Optional) If the patient search returns too many results, you can use the advanced patient search feature.

ClickTap Use advanced patient search and enter all or part of the patient's first and last name.

If necessary, enter the birthdate and gender.

ClickTap the Search
icon.Note: The advanced patient search always includes inactive patients.
Tip: If the patient you are searching for does not display in the results list, you can clicktap Create New Patient to add a record for that patient or clicktap Create New Household to add records for that patient and members of the same household.

ClickTap the patient name.
The patient's Overview page displays.
Important: If the Access Confidential Patient window displays, the patient is confidential and you do not have the security rights to access their record. To continue, a user with the security rights must enter their credentials. Once given access, you can access the patient's information until your session expires.
Tip: You can hide or display the Patient Information ribbon. To hide, clicktap the up arrow button below the Patient Search field. To display, clicktap the down arrow button below the Patient Search field.
