The Progress Summary report is available as part of the evaluation dashboard. It offers faculty a detailed summary of student progress in completing their evaluations and a comprehensive view of student engagement and performance. The report includes all students that have access to the logged in user's location.
Note: Although the full evaluation dashboard only displays for faculty providers and administrators, the report also displays as the Progress Summary for Students page to students and indicates their specific progress in completing their evaluations.
The report can be used to review and track a student's work, review the assigned faculty's comments, and view detailed information of an evaluation, including date and time of the evaluation and the submitted evaluation(s).
The report displays the following columns:
-
Category - Lists a requirement's category.
-
Proc. Counts (Done/Required) - Lists the total number of completed procedure(s) from a passed evaluation and the required number of passed procedure(s) to complete the requirement. The total count of completed procedure(s) are specified by the requirement's configuration.
-
Form Name - Lists the names of the evaluation forms that must be completed to complete each requirement.
-
Total Attempts - Lists how many times the student has attempted each evaluation form. If a value of 1 or greater displays, you can click the number to display a window showing all attempts (both pass and fail), with the most recent attempt listed first. This allows faculty to access detailed attempt history and better support students who need additional guidance.
-
Grade Summary - Lists an icon to indicate how the student has performed on each evaluation form. A Pass
icon displays if one or more attempt for that form was a pass and a Fail
icon displays if no attempt for that form was a pass. Evaluation forms that use a demerit grading scheme also display an average percentage grade while evaluation forms that use a pass/fail grading scheme display without a percentage. Note: For each evaluation form that has the Total Attempts column set to 0, the Grade Summary column displays as N/A.
Tip: You can hover over an icon to view the number of passes and fails.
An Average Grade (%) banner also displays at the bottom of the Student Performance tab. This allows faculty to view each student's Average Grade (%) across all evaluation forms graded using a demerit grading scheme. The Average Grade (%) is calculated using all demerit-graded evaluation forms. If a student has submitted multiple attempts for the same form, the average score across all attempts is used. It is calculated as the sum of all percentages divided by the total number of attempts.
Note: Pass/fail forms are excluded from the Average Grade (%).
Example Calculations:
-
Oral Eval - Daily Eval average = (92% + 88% + 98%) / 3 = 93%
-
Oral Eval - Procedure Questions average = (73% + 87% + 90% + 92%) / 4 = 86%
-
Extraction - Daily Eval average = (98% + 100% + 100%) / 3 = 99%
-
Extraction - Procedure Questions average = (91% + 95%) / 2 = 93%
-
Average Grade (%) = (93% + 86% + 99% + 93%) / 4 = 93%
