Resuming incomplete perio exams

@rch2017kerdtjYou can resume an incomplete perio exam on a patient's record.

Exams that are saved as drafts display in the patient chart > Perio tab > list of exams with a Draft label. Exams that are started but unsaved display in the patient chart > Progress Notes tab.

To resume an incomplete perio exam

1. Perform one of the following to display the exam:

   • Open a saved exam draft.

     1. On a patient's clinical record > Perio tab, clicktap the exam drop-down and select a saved draft from the list.

        Tip: Draft exams display with a Draft label.

        

     2. ClickTap the Manage button menu and select Edit Exam.

     3. When prompted with an Edit Perio Exam window, modify the fields as necessary and clicktap Edit Exam.

        

   • Open an unsaved exam.

     1. On a patient's clinical record > Progress Notes tab, next to an incomplete perio exam, clicktap Resume.

        

        Tip: You can filter the progress notes to display a list of perio exams.

     2. When prompted with a New Perio Exam window, complete one of the following:

        

        • To continue the incomplete exam, clicktap Resume Exam.

          The exam displays on the Perio tab, and the last tooth that data was entered for is selected automatically.

        • To delete the incomplete exam and start a new one, clicktap Discard Exam & Create New One.

2. Work on the exam as necessary.

3. When ready, complete one of the following to save your work: 

   • If the exam is still in-progress and will be completed another day, clicktap Draft.

   • If you have finished the exam, clicktap Finish Exam.

4. If prompted with the Finish Perio Exam window because the patient has a previous exam, complete one of the following:

   • To save the current exam with the previous exam's measurements in places where there are no new measurements, clicktap Save Exam with the Previous Values.

   • To save the current exam without any of the previous exam's measurements, clicktap Save Only New Values.
