Each location in your organization has a unique mobile number for text messages. If a patient requires the mobile number to contact your office, you can provide the number by locating it on Ascend Academic.
Important:

As mobile numbers are location-specific, you may want to provide a patient with the mobile number of their preferred location, which is specified on their record.

The phone number is only for text messaging. Voice calls are not allowed.
To provide a patient with a number for text messages
How to get there

From the Patient menu, under General, select Patient Information.
The patient's Patient Information page displays.
Tip: You can also access the Patient Information page from the Patient Information ribbon > Edit link.
Note: If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search field to access the patient's record.

On a patient's Patient Information page, clicktap the Preferences tab.

Next to Text Messages, clicktap the
icon. An Information tooltip displays with the mobile number of the patient's preferred location.

Provide the patient with the displayed mobile number.
