A user account can have rights to any of the following areas or activities in Ascend Academic:
Tip: Assigning a role to a user account gives that user a set of default rights relevant to that role. However, you can customize those given rights for each user individually and then save that set of rights as a new role, which can then be assigned to that individual's and others' user accounts.
Insurance

| Evaluate Other Users' Evaluation Requests | Allows the user to access the Faculty Evaluations page and the Student Evaluation Search page to evaluate users. Note: If this right is disabled with the Requires Evaluation right, the Avademic menu is disabled for the user. |
| Requires Evaluation | Allows the user to access the Student Evaluations page to complete self-evaluations. Allows the user to request or cancel competency evaluations. When set with Requires approval to post user role permission, allows a sessional evaluation to be auto-generated when a faculty provider approves a procedure. Note: If this right is disabled with the Evaluate Other Users' Evaluation Requests right, the Avademic menu is disabled for the user. |
| Edit another user's View Settings | Allows the user to edit the view settings for faculty members that complete evaluations. |
