You can customize your view settings of the Calendar page by applying one or more filters, which are saved until you log off. The Calendar page provides several viewing options.
To customize the schedule view

From the Schedule menu, select Calendar.
The Calendar page displays.

On the Calendar page, complete any of the following:

Change the calendar date.

Complete any of the following on the toolbar:

ClickTap the month and select a date from the displayed calendar.

Use the

, 1 w, 1 m, or 6 m buttons to go backward or forward by a day, week, month, or six months.
Tip: To return to the current date, clicktap Today on the toolbar.

View more/fewer appointments.

ClickTap the

Change the view settings.

ClickTap the View menu and modify the settings as necessary.

Time block size - Select a radio button to set the size of the appointments on the schedule.
Tip: You can set the columns first to see how the time slots display based on the selected block size.

Appointment Card Color by - Select a radio button to control how appointment colors display:

Appointment Provider - Appointments display the appointment provider's provider color.

Attending Provider - Appointments display the attending provider's provider color.
Note: If an appointment does not have an attending provider, it displays in white.
Important: As an appointment displays in white to indicate it is not associated with an attending provider, it is recommended you set your provider color to a non-white color.

Show only business days - Set the toggle to control if business days display:

On - Only displays days that are part of your location hours. If the calendar date falls on a date outside of your location hours, the Calendar displays the next business day.

Off - Displays all days regardless of when you are closed.

Show missed appointments - Set the toggle to control if missed appointments display:
-
On - Displays missed and canceled appointments in the schedule as smaller, translucent appointments.

Off - Excludes missed or canceled appointments from the schedule.

Warn when double-booking - Set the toggle to On or Off.

Hide patient names - Set the toggle to control if patient names display:
-
On - Hides the patients' names on the calender, schedule peek, status tracker, and notifications.
Tip: If patient names are hidden and you need to see the names, clicktap and hold the
icon near the View button. -
Off - Displays the patients' names.

Hide patient ages - Set the toggle to control if patient ages display:

On - Hides the patients' ages on the calender, schedule peek, status tracker, and notifications.
Tip: If patient ages are hidden and you need to see the names, clicktap and hold the
icon near the View button. -
Off - Displays the patients' ages.

Show only working providers - Set the toggle to control which providers display:
-
On - Only displays providers that are available during the tine slot.
-
Off - Displays all providers regardless of their working hours.

Include charge adj. in production calculation - Set the toggle to control whether charge adjustments are included in production calculations:
-
Yes - Net and gross actual production include charge adjustments.
-
No - Net and gross actual production do not include charge adjustments.

Include unapplied credit adj. in production calculation - Set the toggle to control whether unapplied credit adjustments are included in production calculations:
-
Yes - Unapplied credit adjustments are deducted from the net actual production.
-
No - Unapplied credit adjustments are not deducted from the net actual production.

Columns by - Select a radio button to control how columns display appointments:

Operatory - Displays appointments by its associated operatory.
-
Provider - Displays appointments by its associated provider.
-
Operatory Group - Displays appointments by its associated operatory group.
-
User Group - Displays appointments by its associated user group.
Note: This option only displays if you have a user group assigned to your account.

View mode by - Select a radio button to control how appointments display:

Day - Displays appointments that are booked on a specific day.
-
Week - Displays appointments that are booked within a specific week.
-

To display appointments associated with specific operatories, providers, operatory groups, or user groups, select the check boxes of the list items you want to display on the schedule. The list items are based on the set Columns by field.
Tip: You can locate a specific operatory, provider, operatory group, or user group in the list by using the search field.
Tip: If necessary, clicktap Uncheck to deselect all the check boxes.

Notes:

Ascend Academic is designed to work with your browser's zoom level set to 100%. Increasing or decreasing the browser's zoom level may cause poor results.
-
If you go below 100%, the schedule's last column on the right will not display. In other areas, buttons may be missing or may not function.

Adverse effects may occur if you have an older monitor and decrease the browser's zoom level.

Newer rectangular monitors (at a resolution of 1920 x 1080) can usually display up to seven columns on the Calendar page.
