Contrast can be changed not only by the contrast box but also by clickingtapping on the image and pulling your mousefinger up or down. If you have a roller wheel, this will also change the contrast when the left button is engaged.

You have the option to reset the contrast back to the default when you clicktap on the contrast icon.
