There are many reasons to follow up with a patient. They may have had a difficult procedure today, have just been referred to an oral surgeon for an extraction, or you simply need some insurance information from them. Whatever the reason, the important thing is that you have a way to stay organized and track these follow-up calls.

It’s always a great idea to add a note to the appointment indicating any additional information about the follow up, such as tooth number or details about the nature of the follow up needed.

If the patient needs additional follow-up, simply add your notes to the appointment note on the follow-up list. Don’t clicktap the check box to complete the follow-up until no additional follow up is needed. The patient will stay on the list until it is completed.
