As a dental practice, you are required to secure your patients’ records, including their clinical notes, as they are legal records of patient care. You can secure clinical notes by signing them, as they will be locked and can no longer be edited or deleted. In addition, to further protect your notes, Ascend Academic requires users to authenticate their signatures with a password.

You can also access clinical notes from the Progress Notes. Select the Notes option to filter the list.

You can change your signature without affecting documents that have already been signed.

Only you can set up your signature. Other administrators do not have access to your signature, and they cannot change it for you.
