The Chairside dashboard is a feature of Ascend Academic that displays a patient's tooth chart and the progress notes under one view. When activated, you can view the progress notes while working on a patient's clinical chart.
Notes:

The state of the chairside dashboard (the visibility and size of the progress notes) is saved automatically for the computer/device.

The View options (set from the View menu) are automatically saved for the computer/device and user.
To view the chairside dashboard
How to get there

From the Patient menu, under Clinical, select Chart.
The patient's clinical record displays with the Chart tab selected.
Note: If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search field to access the patient's record.

On a patient's clinical record > Chart tab, set the Chairside dashboard toggle to On.
Note: If you are activating it for the first time, the Diagnostic Use Warning window displays. To open the record, select the I accept the above-mentioned policy check box and clicktap Accept & Go to Imaging.
The progress notes panel displays.
Tip: You can sort the progress notes by clickingtapping a column header or clicktap an item to open the corresponding window.

(Optional) Click and dragTap and drag the sizing handle between the tooth chart and the progress notes panel to adjust their sizes as necessary.

(Optional) Filter the progress notes as necessary.

ClickTap View menu.

Select a radio button:

Today's work - Select to only view today's work and images in the progress notes.
Tip: Select the Include related check box to view previous work and images that are related to and/or has common tooth numbers with any of today's work.

All - Select to view all work and images in the progress notes.

Select the check boxes as necessary.

All, Existing, Completed, Tx Plan, Notes, Condition, Prescription, Treated - Select All to view all types of work or select individual check boxes to view specific types of work in the progress notes.

Most recent perio exam (Buccal/Facial) - Select to view data from the patient's most recent period exam in Ascend Academic. If selected, the chart displays the facial probing depths and gingival margins of a perio exam.

Sextant selectors - Select to display sextant selector buttons in every graphical representation of a tooth chart through the system.

ClickTap Done.

(Optional) Set the Chairside dashboard toggle to Off to deactivate the Chairside dashboard view.
