You can quickly create a new location hours setting by copying an existing setting and making changes to it.
Note: You cannot set an expiration date during creation. The only way to set an expiration date is to create another setting. Once created, Ascend Academic automatically gives the existing setting an end date that is one day before the new setting starts.
Example: You create a location hour setting that starts on September 2nd, and your location has an existing setting that starts in April. Ascend Academic automatically gives the existing setting a September 1 expiration date, and the new setting will start on September 2.
To copy a location hours settings
How to get there

If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it from the Location menu.

From the Settings menu, under Location, clicktap Location Hours.
The Location Hours page displays.

On a location's Location Hours page, locate and select the setting that is very close to the one you want to create.
Tip: You can deselect the Hide Past Hours check box to include expired settings.

ClickTap Edit and clicktap Copy.

Modify the fields as necessary:

Effective Date - ClickTap the field and select the date in the calendar or enter a new start date manually in MM/DD/YYYY format.

Hours - Set each weekday toggle to Closed or Open. If applicable, enter the hours of operation into each time range in 24-hour format. Ascend Academic will automatically convert the time into 12-hour format with AM or PM.
Example: 800 converts to 8:00 AM and 1500 converts to 3:00 PM.
If necessary, clicktap the + icon next to an applicable time range to add a secondary time range and enter the correct hours.
Note: If added in error, you can clicktap the
icon to delete the additional time range.

When ready, clicktap Save.
The new setting is added to the list of your location's existing location settings on the left side of the page.
Settings that have all weekdays set as closed display in the list with a CLOSED label. Settings that come into effect immediately display with a
icon.
